Yukimi Lantern

Also known as “snow-viewing lanterns,”
Yukimi-Gata lanterns first appeared in Japan
during the early Edo period. Designed to
mark peninsular landmasses, they feature broader
roofs than other Japanese-style lanterns, and are
often placed at the edges of the garden
or next to bodies of water.
